Goo Goo Dolls join Def Leppard and The Struts at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, on May 9, 2027. This Concerts event in the Pop / rock category brings together three rock acts for an arena show. On tacoma-tickets.com, this listing features the Seattle date at Climate Pledge Arena.
Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls developed from punk and alternative roots into a widely recognized pop-rock band led by vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac. The group's 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl delivered enduring hits including “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Black Balloon.” “Iris” became a defining song of the band's career and a signature live singalong.
The band has continued recording and touring across a career spanning more than three decades. Its more recent album, Chaos in Bloom (2022), includes “Miracle Pill,” “Just a Man,” and “New Day Coming.” Goo Goo Dolls' emotionally direct songwriting and guitar-led sound give this bill a melodic counterpoint to Def Leppard's arena-rock catalog and The Struts' energetic glam-rock style. The event listing confirms those two acts as part of the lineup; set times and individual performance lengths have not been provided.
Expect a crowd drawn to both classic hits and the shared appeal of a multi-generation rock lineup. For Seattle concertgoers, the arena setting places the show in the city's central entertainment district, making it a substantial night out for local fans and visitors alike.
